Hi guys

Just to let you know about lanparty.ie second lan party coming up on the Friday the 23rd of October which is hosting a Street Fighter 4 competition.

The detail of the event are as follows.

Another 48 hour PC LAN! We're hosting another CSS tournament and we'll also be holding COD4 & Teeworlds on PC as well as SF4, Halo 3 and Forza Motorsport 3 for the Xbox 360.

Street Fighter 4 Competition Details
Street Fighter 4 competition will be held on the Saturday with an estimated start time of 2:00pm
Tournament format will be a group stage followed by double elimination.
All characters allowed.
You can use your own stick and customize the buttons.
Turbo is banned.
Prize will be determine by number of players, but for each player that enters €10 euro will be added. So if 20 enter the prize pot will €200 euro. Hoping to get XGC style numbers of between 25-30. This will replace Octobers XGC's Inferno Ranbat as we don't want the event to clash. (note its not organised by the Inferno Ranbat organizers but the two sets of organizers have been in contact during the planning phase)

Prize pot will be split 70/20/10 for the top 3 finishers.

Currently it will be run on 4 Xbox which can be increased to 6 or 8 depending on numbers. The organisers want to co-run in on the PC as well to to ensure all players from each format can use there preferred sticks/pads. Seeding will be used based on the results of the last 2 Inferno Ranbats. Perhaps if enough people attend who attended dramatic battle we could also co-base the seeding on that as well.

As well as the SF IV tournament with the ample time we have we can run unofficial tournaments in games such as HD Remix, Blaz Blu and 3rd Strike.

The event is Prepay only via paypal which will close in roughly two weeks!
So if your intended to go please sign up as soon as possible as the organiser need to determine seeding, prize money and numbers of machines required.

The event is at Sheldon Park Hotel, Kylemore Road, Dublin 12 which will require a Laus trip (25-30 minutes from the Connolly Luas dtop) for most players who are heading down from the north. A single ticket will cost €2.50 and a return €4.00

A google map of the Luas stop and Hotel is available here. You will need to walk for about 2-3 minutes to get to the hotel. Your stopping on the Naas Road.
