- Sunday 17th January 2010 between 1pm - 7.30pm

- Street Fighter IV 3 vs 3

- Entry fee is £10 per team of 3

- Location is Mango Lounge. 306 Earls Court Road SW5 9BA

- Single elimination, winner takes all

- Will feature commentary

- Player cam + crowd cam

- Videos will be recorded and put on the official EXceed Youtube channel

IMPORTANT UPDATES

I've been informed that if you are under 18 you will not be aloud in the premises without a BLOOD relative. Papers and necessary proof will be required also. So if you are underage then try your hardest to bring a relative of some sort, as you don't want to miss out on this event!

If an underaged person is caught in the premises the business can be OFFED simple as, try explaining that to the owner.

If it was in my hands I would let the underaged people in regardless but it is not, rules are rules so hopefully you can empathise with me.

- Teams participating are not capped at 16 anymore

- Hurry up and find other members for your team or ask to join those empty slots in other teams

- There will be several setups now rather then one due to time constraints. Matches will only be recorded after a certain amount of teams are eliminated as we can only record on one setup

- Since tournament organisers are participating in this the randomised brackets will be done in front of everybody


Everybody needs to be there by 1pm! if you do not come at 1pm and sign up you run the risk of not being able to participate so please ensure you make it on time with this tournament

THE WAY THE TOURNAMENT WILL BE RUN

The numbers used here are ideal numbers, as teams may be late/not show up etc. However this will be the basic format. This is the most fair system we could devise. It's all more complex then it sounds so just look at the EXAMPLE section of each group

STAGE 1

- 24 TEAMS
- 4 TEAMS ON A SETUP. TOTAL OF 6 SETUPS
- 2 OF THE 4 TEAMS PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER AND A WINNER IS PRODUCED
- THE OTHER 2 TEAMS PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER AND A WINNER IS PRODUCED
- THE 2 WINNING TEAMS PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER
- THE WINNING TEAM MOVES ON TO STAGE 2 AND THE OTHER 3 ARE ELIMINATED

EXAMPLE

- ZAKS TEAM IS ALLOCATED TO A SETUP WITH 3 OTHER TEAMS
- ZAKS TEAM PLAYS THEIR FIRST ALLOCATED TEAM AND WINS
- ZAKS TEAM MUST THEN FACE THE WINNER OF THE OTHER 2 TEAMS IN HIS GROUP
- ZAKS TEAM BEATS THE OPPOSING TEAM WHICH MAKES HIS TEAM THE ONLY ONE TO MOVE ON TO STAGE 2 OUT OF HIS GROUP OF 4


STAGE 2

- 6 TEAMS ARE LEFT
- THEY ARE SPLIT INTO 2 GROUPS OF 3
- THE GROUPS OF 3 PLAY ON ONE SETUP (TOTAL OF 2 SETUPS)
- THE 2 STRONGEST TEAMS PER GROUP GO THROUGH MEANING A TOTAL OF 4 GROUPS PROCEED TO STAGE 3

EXAMPLE

- ZAKS TEAM PLAYS AGAINST ONE OF THE 3 TEAMS AND WINS
- ZAKS TEAM PLAYS THE LAST TEAM IN THE GROUP OF 3 AND WINS
- ZAKS TEAM AND THE SECOND STRONGEST TEAM PROCEED TO STAGE 3 ELIMINATING THE WEAKEST TEAM


STAGE 3 - SEMI FINALS : MATCH RECORDINGS + COMMENTARY FROM THIS POINT ONWARDS

- 4 TEAMS ARE LEFT
- THE 4 TEAMS ARE ALLOCATED TO 1 SETUP
- THE 2 TEAMS ON ONE SETUP PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER AND PRODUCE A WINNER, AS DO THE 2 TEAMS
- THE WINNERS OF BOTH MATCHES PROCEED TO THE FINAL STAGE

EXAMPLE

- ZAKS TEAM PLAYS AGAINST THE ONLY OTHER TEAM ASSIGNED TO HIS SETUP
- ZAKS TEAM WINS
- ZAKS TEAM PROCEEDS TO THE FINAL ROUND AS DOES THE OTHER WINNING TEAM


FINAL STAGE: MATCH RECORDINGS + COMMENTARY

- THE 2 TEAMS PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER
- WINNERS OF THE TOURNAMENT ARE PRODUCED

EXAMPLE

- ZAKS TEAM PLAYS THE FINAL TEAM THAT GOT THROUGH THE SEMI FINALS
- ZAKS TEAM WINS THE WHOLE TOURNAMENT!
