With Tekken 6 RB's under way SFIV has died down here in the North West so to rekindle the shoto flame Gamerbase Manchester presents HITBOX 2010.

This is just a fun event to give players the opportunity to warm themselves to Street Fighter IV once again in preperation for the upcoming Super SFIV and the subsequent RB's that will follow!



27th FEBRUARY 2010

YOU MUST REGISTER BEFORE THE 25th FEBRUARY!

You can register by posting here here, in store or in person. Please do not register unless you are sure you are going to enter. This will make everything run much smoother on the day.

On the 27th Feb you will have to arrive before 12:30pm to confirm your attendance therefore GB staff will then be able to arrange the groups which will start between 1pm-2pm. stc.

This gets you all day casuals from 11am to 7pm and tournament entry!

VERSION: XBOX 360

Controllers: Players are expected to provide their own 360 controllers. Gamerbase provide a limited number of pads but you should NOT expect that there will always be a controller for you to use unless you provide your own.

Rules:

ONE CHARACTER ONLY ALL CHARACTERS ARE PLAYABLE

Single character, groups into double elimination. Best of 3 rounds (2 rounds to win) 1 game in groups and last 32, best of 3 games in last 16. The final is best of 5 (first to 3 for a win).

In the event of players drawing in groups, (1st/2nd or 2nd/3rd place) we will have a play-off to decide which players go through.

In the event of a 3 way tie for one place (NOT 1st place), there will be a play-off. Names will be put into a hat. The player pulled out first automatically advances to the next stage of the play-off. The other 2 players play 1 fight. Whoever loses is out and whoever wins plays the remaining person. The winner of this progresses to the next round.

Casual set ups are best of 5 rounds, winner stays on (10 win cap), one loss and OFF. None of this "jus' one more game innit?!" bullshit, get off the damn machine. If you want to stay on then you have to earn it by winning. If you get 10 wins both players come off and 2 new ones sit down.

With so many players in order to make sure everyone gets games you must adhere to the above rules. If people don't mention it to them and if they still don't move come and see myself or a member of staff. It has to be fair on everyone.

Players will be seeded based on previous Ranking Battle history and known SFIV experience.

MARK YOUR STICK/PAD!!!

At lots of events people miss place their sticks/controllers then frantically run around looking for their Tournament Edition stick only to find that there are shit loads around. Mark what you bring, stickers, buttons, sequens, permanent marker whatever it takes.

Hitbox Meal:

Ok, as our trip to Genghis Khans (The Mongolian BBQ) was such a resounding success some of us decided it would be a great place to go after Hitbox on the 27th February!

Obviously we should have a lot more people this time and people who have already been will have a lot more ideas on what to cook up next time we go!

The food is top notch, you fill a bowl with whatever you want, meat, fish, veg, sauces, spices etc and they cook it in front of you. Fucking real tasty. And it's all you can eat.

Genghis Khans The all you can eat Genghis Grill is £12.95. The average price is £17 pp. That's for 1 drink and for the sneaky 10% service charge.

It's only 5 min walk from Jenny's/Piccadilly Gardens.
